1. Who we are
Builders M&A Limited ("we", "us", "our") is a property-care business registered in England and Wales under company number 17052886. Our registered office and trading address is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit this website, contact us, or book our services.
2. Information we collect
We only collect the personal information needed to respond to enquiries and provide our services. This may include your name, contact details (email address and/or telephone number), your property address or postcode, details of the work you would like a quote for, and any photographs you choose to send us. We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you do not include sensitive personal information in your enquiries unless it is directly relevant to the work requested.
3. Information you provide to us
Most of the information we hold about you is provided directly by you — for example, when you complete our website contact form, send us an email, or message us on WhatsApp. We do not obtain your personal information from third parties.
4. Photographs
Customers often send photographs by WhatsApp or email to help us understand a job and provide an accurate quotation. Photographs are used only to assess the work required, prepare quotations and plan bookings. We do not use customer photographs for marketing or promotional purposes without separately asking for your permission first.
5. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries and provide quotations, to arrange, confirm and carry out booked work, to communicate with you about a booking, and to keep records for accounting, legal and administrative purposes. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
6. Our legal bases for using personal information
Under UK data protection law, we rely on the following legal bases to use your personal information: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, for example when you ask us for a quote; performing a contract with you once work has been booked; complying with our legal obligations, such as keeping financial records; and our legitimate interests in running our business, such as responding to enquiries and maintaining reasonable business records, carried out in a way that does not override your interests. Where we ever need your consent for something not covered by the bases above, we will ask for it clearly at the time.
7. How we receive enquiries
We currently receive website enquiries by email and/or WhatsApp. When you contact us through these channels, your message and any information or photographs you include are sent directly to us so that we can respond to your enquiry.
8. How we store and protect information
We take reasonable steps to keep the personal information we hold secure and to limit access to it to those who need it in order to respond to your enquiry or carry out your booking. We review how we store information from time to time to keep our approach appropriate to the type of information involved.
9. Who we may share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted individuals directly involved in carrying out work you have booked, and where we are required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights. We do not have any other arrangements in place to share your information with third parties.
10. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including to complete a booking, respond to follow-up questions, and meet any legal, accounting or tax requirements. Where information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or securely dispose of it.
11. Marketing communications
We do not currently send marketing emails, text messages or WhatsApp marketing messages. If this changes in the future, we will only do so in accordance with applicable law, and you will be able to opt out at any time.
12. Cookies and website analytics
This website does not use Google Analytics, Google Maps, or similar third-party tracking or analytics tools. The website may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for it to function correctly and securely. We do not use cookies to track you for advertising purposes.
13. Your data protection rights
Under UK data protection law, your rights may include the right to be informed about how your information is used, the right to access the personal information we hold about you, the right to have inaccurate information corrected, the right to ask us to delete your information, and the right to restrict or object to certain processing. Not every right applies in every situation, and some rights are subject to exemptions under data protection law. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.
Builders M&A Limited has completed the Information Commissioner’s Office data protection fee self-assessment and is exempt from paying the data protection fee.
14. Complaints
